Step Eleven - Formatting

Proofreading is done and you have your cover. What’s next?

Well unfortunately for me it was a last bit of pesky formatting, which is extremely important before you convert your word document into the HTML document that is required. Those margins have to be right and that table of contents has to be updated with every link to each chapter.

Remember the more time you spend perfecting your Ebook means the less likely anyone is going to comment about how the formatting is wrong when the reviews start coming in.

This might also be the time to write your dedication at the beginning of your book and sort out the copyright page which you can pretty much use a standard template for and just fill in your name. The typical copyright blurb at the beginning of the book looks something like this.

© COPYRIGHT 2015 (Fill Name Here)

All Rights Reserved. This book or any portion thereof may

Not be reproduced or used in any manner whatsoever

without the express written permission of the publisher

except for the use of brief quotations in a book review.

Once you are happy with that there are no more faults then your next move is to convert to HTML.
